At the foot of the Serles - high above Matrei am Brenner, lies the Maria Waldrast Monastery, the highest monastery in Tyrol! Power and contemplation places invite you to recharge. The bubbling of the spring, the trickling of the water, the rushing and murmuring of a stream have a particularly relaxing effect on us humans! The spring trail uses the water of the Serles, which emerges from many springs, and makes it accessible in a very special way.

    Roadbook

Just below the toll booth Maria Waldrast, follow the turnoff to Obfeldes. At first, still along the asphalt road, path No. 12 leads into a beautiful trail that gradually climbs through open forest. (From there path No. 2 or 29) Along the way, you will repeatedly pass fountains and springs that are appropriately marked and accompanied by some information. Just below the "Mutterwasser" the toll road is crossed, and you follow a section of the forest road, which in winter serves as a toboggan run. Past the "Almwasser" and "Sieben Bründl" the path turns into the area "Langes Tal" and continues to the Matreier Ochsenalm. Along a magnificent meadow trail, the Maria Waldrast Monastery is already visible and can be reached within a few minutes on foot.
