From here you enter Via Fontana and then Via Cortili, two characteristic streets that allow you to cross an authentic part of the town, among ancient homes, internal courtyards and picturesque glimpses. Walking along these streets you can breathe the tranquil atmosphere of the village and observe some typical elements of local architecture.
The route continues descending the suggestive staircase of Via Porto Ragni, which slowly leads to the lake and offers very evocative panoramic views. At the end of the descent you reach the Fishermen's Museum, a small but interesting museum dedicated to the fishing tradition on Lake Garda. Inside are preserved numerous objects belonging to the lake fishermen, including nets, working tools, vintage photographs and various documents that testify to the importance of this activity for the life of the town. The museum tells the story of an ancient profession, which for many years represented a fundamental resource for the local population.
After the visit to the museum, the itinerary continues towards the outskirts of the town, where the landscape gradually changes and gives way to nature and the olive groves that characterize the area. You walk along the lakeside towards the Colà Beach, following a comfortable path that borders the San Giovanni River. This part of the route is particularly pleasant because it allows walking immersed in greenery, with the constant presence of water and splendid views of the lake.
The path finally leads to the bridge of Via Fol, located near the Possidenti Oliveti Cooperative oil mill. Here, during the period between November and January, the milling of the olives collected in the surrounding olive groves takes place. From this process one of the finest oils of the area is obtained.
Inside the oil mill visitors have the opportunity to discover more closely the oil production process: it is possible to observe the machinery used for processing olives, visit a small photographic exhibition dedicated to the olive tradition of the territory and watch a video showing all the production phases, from olive harvesting to oil bottling.
This itinerary therefore represents an ideal opportunity to discover not only the beauties of the town, but also the traditions, crafts and typical products linked to the Lake Garda area. Walking through the streets of the historic center, along the lake and among the olive groves, the visitor can experience a complete experience combining culture, nature and local gastronomy.
