The starting point is the raftmen statue at the "Old Raft Landing". From there, walk towards the old town and first see the patron saints, Saint Nepomuk, and some artfully painted historic houses before turning right into Marktstrasse. Follow the street northwards. Then pass the local history museum on your right and shortly after the Andreas Bridge take the pedestrian & bicycle path to the left, along the Loisach. Follow the path past the Kastenmühlwehr dam to the next bridge that crosses the Loisach. From here you can see on the west side of the Loisach, looking north, the Weidach raft landing from where rafts still depart today. The path then leads you back on the other side of the Loisach in the direction of the historic old town.
