First step: "tree hugging", the Celtic practice of hugging the trees to absorb their beneficial properties, a real green cure against the daily stress. In particular, spruces helps to heal the fractures and reduce the swelling.
Second step: barefoot on the grass, on the leaves, on musk, barks and stones. This kind of walking has a positive incidence on the humour and on the sleeping, but it also helps to improve the postures, the metabolism and the balance.
Third step: Kneipp therapy. Plunge your feet in a stream to benefit of the curative power of fresh and pure high mountain water.
Just before reaching the municipal hut at "Colvere", you will clearly see the posts of the Austrian gunners of the First World War, placed in reinforced concrete structures. A trenched path enters the wood and, proceeding downhill, leads to the observatory: a net of tunnels dug into the rock, equipped with windows and slots to keep at gunpoint the San Pellegrino Pass, starting point of the Italian front. The use of an electric torch to visit the galleries as well as suitable clothes and shoes are highly recommended. In summertime it is also possible to take part in guided excursions.

Roadbook
A small jewel of nature, just waiting to be explored. There are no entrance tickets here: the stars are you and the landscape around you. Along the way, illustrative panels will guide you in discovering the area, telling you about the wonders of this corner of the mountains. The trail starts from "Valbona", reachable by gondola (first section). From the top station, where you will find the Chalet Valbona restaurant and a children's playground, take the path towards Malga Pozza, starting with a short flat stretch. As soon as the dirt road starts to climb, turn left and take the path that goes down: it is the beginning of a small adventure in the woods! Follow the path that crosses the ski slope diagonally and then goes among centuries-old trees, whose branches create a cool and pleasant shade, perfect for walking on the hottest days. Along the way, you pass by the hut of grandfather Raimondo, a special place where one of the best honeys in the area is produced. Can you hear the buzz of bees at work? Continue listening to the sounds of nature: the rustle of the wind in the branches, the song of the birds and the gentle flow of water in the streams. Then, suddenly, the forest opens up and a sunny clearing appears: you have arrived at La Rezila Rifugio!
Walk along the meadow bordered by a hedge and tackle a short climb to a fork in the path. Here, while path no. 623 continues towards Lusia Rifugio, keep left on path no. 625 and cross the stream that flows down from the Lusia Pass. With comfortable bends, go up the opposite side of the valley until you come out onto the "Colvere" pastures.
For the return, you have two options:
- return along the same path and take the gondola from "Valbona"
- from La Rezila Rifugio, follow the forest road that leads back to the bottom station of the gondola, in "Ronchi"
