Marmots are cute and fascinating animals. Their piercing warning call is audible far and wide. The diurnal life of these burrowing residents can be well observed on the route. It is interesting when the young are allowed to leave the burrow for the first time.
    • Suitable for children from 4 years old
    • Signs explain the life of the marmots (in German, English, French, Japanese)
    • Various wood sculptures along the path
    • Marmot observation post at Sunnegga

    Safety information

    • Plan every mountain tour carefully and adapt it to your own condition as well as the weather and season.
    • The weather can change quickly in the mountains. Therefore, take suitable clothing and enough provisions and water. Turn back in time in case of uncertain weather.
    • Inform others about your tour and, if possible, never go alone.
    • Do not leave marked paths and do not go onto glaciers without a mountain guide.
    • Show consideration for other hikers as well as plants and animals.
    • Observe the warning signs that point out the constant danger in the riverbed and on the banks of the watercourses below dams and water intakes.
