How did the knights and nobles live at Hohenzollern Castle? How did Hohenzollern Castle become the symbol of the district "Zollernalb"? Together with you, we set out to find answers to these and other questions about the history of the ancestral seat of the German emperors.
The Imperial Path takes you through the history of the castle built for the third time, Hohenzollern Castle, and the community of Bisingen located at the foot of the castle. Roadbook
10 stations with information boards about Hohenzollern history divide the circular hiking trail. Signposts along the path lead you from one interesting station to the next. Two idyllic barbecue areas with views of the “Zollerberg” invite you to picnic in the green.
Take the climb up the Zollerberg as an occasion to make a detour to the historically significant ancestral seat of the German emperors. The castle guide team looks forward to your visit.

Train from Stuttgart/Tübingen/Hechingen or Aulendorf/Sigmaringen/Albstadt/Balingen, exit at Bisingen station. From there, take the bus to Zimmern. Information about the timetable is available from the transport association naldo.
