During the Advent and Christmas season, this beautiful and comfortable circular route invites you to an atmospheric walk along many angel stations, nativity scenes, and winter decorations.
The angel stations, decorations, and nativity scenes are only set up during the Advent and Christmas season. However, the path is accessible all year round and offers beautiful landscape experiences in all seasons.

Tips and suggestions
From end of November until the end of the Christmas holidays (Baden-Württemberg), the “Glottertal Angel Path” invites you to a particularly beautiful walk. The approximately 3.5 km circular route leads along the valley floor between the village center and the ship square (near the Panorama open-air pool), past many atmospheric angel stations and winter decorations. It is always freely accessible and can be walked individually and also shortened. Along the "Glottertäler Engelweg" are around 20 angel groups made from natural materials and beautiful nativity scenes, some set up in the typical Glottertal vineyard cottages or in an old mine entrance.
A walk at dusk and in the early evening hours is especially atmospheric, when you can enjoy the beautiful ambiance of the angel stations by candlelight.
Current information about the angel path, the route map for download, and all dates can be found at www.glottertal.de/veranstaltungen
Roadbook
The circular route can be started from any point you like. This route description begins at the Eichberghalle (parking lot). Of course, the route can also be walked in the opposite direction, which is especially recommended in the late afternoon hours.
The names of the signpost locations are printed in bold in this description. The corresponding elevations are given in parentheses.
From the Eichberghalle (311 m asl) it first goes very gently uphill via Kandelstraße to the Tobererhof / Kappenhof (346 m asl). From there, you have a beautiful view over the whole village and the vineyards opposite. The path continues along orchards to the Scharbachhof (349 m asl). At Scharbachhof, turn left into Ahlenbachweg and after about 150 m cross Talstraße and go left, after about 20 m turn right into Schiffsweg and at the ship square turn left again and continue on the Winzerpfad. Please note the nativity scene set up at the ship square inside the old mine entrance (no access to the mine!).
Now the path leads along the Winzerpfad always along the vineyards to the Cemetery (325 m asl). Turn left there and go to the village center via Friedhofweg. At Gasthaus Engel / Church, cross Talstraße (pedestrian traffic light right at the church). The route leads left at Hotel Hirschen via Rathausweg back to the Eichberghalle.
