UFFBASSE! - Campaign for considerate behavior in nature
Always be thoughtful, friendly, and considerate toward everyone you meet along the way.
Take care of nature, don’t damage plants, and always stay on the trails. Try to avoid making excessive noise, and leave the forest before dusk.
Remember to bring a trash bag with you and take your trash home with you.
Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will appreciate it.
For your own safety, observe all trail closures, even on weekends.
Park only in designated parking areas. Leave space for emergency vehicles and farm machinery.
Please give way to agricultural and forestry vehicles.

Safety information
In light of recent events:
German Hiking Association’s COVID-19 Guide

As a general rule:
Especially in the fall, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal uneven surfaces, roots, rocks, or holes in the trail. Even after thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may still fall or branches may drop. Especially in adverse weather conditions, nature trails may have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or precipices are secured with ropes or railings. In some places, sure-footedness is required. You should expect trail obstructions of this kind when you go hiking. If you believe that certain sections of the trail are impassable for you, you should bypass them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting parties on this platform. However, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please follow the instructions for your own safety.

Equipment
For our hiking tours, we recommend the following standard gear:
Sturdy footwear
Clothing appropriate for the weather
Sun and rain protection
A sufficient supply of food and drinks, as places to stop for refreshments or shop are not available or open everywhere.
Even though the trails are very well marked throughout, for safety reasons we recommend always carrying a suitable hiking map so that, for example, you can quickly find your way to a safe area in the event of a thunderstorm or an emergency.
