The 10 fairy tale scenes are distributed along a path about one kilometer long at the roadside. The Fairy Tale Path Hechingen is not accessible with prams or wheelchairs.
Although fairy tales are hundreds of years old, they still fascinate young and old! They are repeatedly reinvented or told differently, thus passing the magic from generation to generation.
How about testing your fairy tale knowledge right in nature?
Interactive stations:
To make the Fairy Tale Path even more varied, interactive experience stations can be found at five figures, which also help with the storyline. For example, there is an XXL hidden object picture, a sound station, or a question-and-answer game waiting for eager fairy tale explorers.
Tip:
If you want to extend the fairy tale walk into a family hike, we recommend our circular hiking trail "Martinsberg Tour". Right from the Fairy Tale Path, follow the signs and experience an adventurous short hike along enchanted paths with breathtaking views of the castle.
History of the Fairy Tale Path:
The Fairy Tale Path was opened already in 1972. The ideas for the design of the Fairy Tale Path came from the then captain and re-founder of the Historical Citizens’ Guard Hechingen e.V., Vitus Mayer. The figures were created by steel artist Wilfried Rexze from Pfäffingen between 1969 and 1971. After renovation and refurbishment, the Fairy Tale Path was ceremoniously reopened in June 2016.
Fairy tale walk with stories:
The guided fairy tale walk with stories and puzzles at various figures of the Fairy Tale Path becomes an experience for young and old. The storyteller Sigrid Maute brings the fairy tale heroes to life in her stories. The fairy tale tours are suitable for school classes, daycare groups, club groups, family groups, or as a children's birthday outing with children from 5 years.
