At the farms scattered throughout the Yach valley, the art of bread baking has been mastered for centuries. The bread route, which connects several of the bread-baking farms, begins in the center of Yach.

You climb higher toward the first edge of the forest. Again and again you turn around, amazed by the changing perspectives. Narrow paths, scenic forest edges, and blooming meadows of Hinterzinken lead you over the Rauchengrund to the lower-lying Tränklesgrund.
The transition to Vorderzinken demands from you a short but strenuous ascent. Narrow paths take you lightly downhill through the primeval forest to Schneiderhof. A few hundred meters down the valley, the path turns left off the valley line. One last ascent worth the effort. Because after a short time, you stand on the steep ridge between the two Zinkens. The Yach valley lies at your feet.
Now it steeply descends to Vogtjosefhof. You feel every step and look forward at the end of the route to putting your feet into the crystal-clear refreshing Yach stream.

Coming from Waldkirch:
Take the Breisgau S-Bahn to Elzach station (final stop). Then take bus line 7206.06 to Yach stopping at Yach Rathaus.
Coming from Triberg/Oberprechtal:
Take bus line 7274 to Elzach station. Then take bus line 7206.06 to Yach stopping at Yach-Rathaus.
Coming from Haslach:
Take bus line 7236 to Elzach station. Then take bus line 7206.06 to Yach stopping at Yach-Rathaus.
Directions
Coming from Waldkirch or Hausach:
Take exit at the second roundabout on B294 near Elzach and drive on K5112 to the center of Yach.
