Roadbook
You start at Deidesheim station (west side) and cross Appengasse street at the crossing aid. Now turn right and walk along the footpath of "Appengasse" until you reach Bgm.-Oberhettinger-Strasse. Here is the "alla hopp!" facility, which is 8,000 square meters large. This special movement and meeting facility consists of different areas and is designed for all generations. The fitness circuit offers sports equipment for all generations to strengthen mobility, coordination, endurance, and strength. For the youngest (approx. 0–6 years) there are play opportunities in all weather. For school children and teenagers, a play and activity area and skatepark offer various opportunities. From here you cross Appengasse towards the "Wasgau" shopping market and pass it through the railway underpass. The path straight ahead leads to the city park with a small pond (on the left side) and to the Caritas playground for smaller children, some fitness equipment for seniors, and a wheelchair swing. From here you walk over the playground and city square. There is an ice cream café and restaurants for refreshment with outdoor seating. The Geißbockbrunnen fountain is a popular photo spot. Right next door is the Tourist Information for the Deidesheim holiday region. Here you cross Bahnhofstraße, turn left to then turn right after a few meters into Joh.-Mungenast-Weg. At its end lies the adventure garden (Prinz-Rupprecht-Straße). The 2,000 m² large adventure and recreational area with around 20 play and experience stations is designed for all generations. Core elements are the 9-hole adventure golf course, the boule court, a Kneipp arm basin, a sensory course, a water play area, and various climbing and sound areas. A special eye-catcher is the sandstone erratic with sights of the German Wine Route (artist Bettina C. Morio). From here the path leads past the Deidesheim vintners’ association (barrier-free access possible) to the street "Am Bahnhof." Here you turn right, walk over the parking lot and cross the street again to return to your starting point, Deidesheim station.
The implementation of the barrier-free alla hopp! route was funded by the EU from the European Regional Development Fund.
