Snowshoe high-altitude hike under the spell of the Ötscher

The start of the route is the Kowald farmstead in the lowest Pielach valley, from where it first goes northwest to Kl. Geißenberg, crossing some steep meadows, then continues west through the snow forest towards Geissenberg 1177m, then further south with great views to the west of the Hinterer Hühnerkogel 1219m, before a short extension to Mitterkeil 1248m, from where there are very good views south and east. Return downhill via Herrenweide to the forest road, later along the Pielach back to the starting point Kowald farmstead.
