    Roadbook

From the Franz-Senn Hut, follow the Alpeiner Bach valley upstream to the first steep section. Climb this to a cross with Tibetan flags at about 2560 meters at the beginning of a long flat section. Now do not cross the flat section towards the Ruderhofspitze, but climb the western flank towards the lateral moraine. At a suitable spot, get onto the moraine and then in a wide arc first south and then west towards the Verborgener-Berg-Ferner. Just below 3000 m the glacier is reached and from here continue northwest to the Turmscharte. Below the Turmscharte is a ski depot and from there on foot (possibly crampons and rope use) up to the col. Descent as ascent.
