Tips and suggestions
Respect your limits! 5 rules for responsible snowshoe or ski touring:
- If available, stay on marked routes; be sure to observe notice boards as well as protection, conservation, and restricted areas.
- Consider wildlife: avoid feeding areas and immediately and quietly withdraw upon sighting an animal.
- Avoid young tree cultures (under three meters), ski edges can cause great damage to the trees.
- Do not leave any waste behind.
- Avoid noise.
Important for ski tours: prohibition of riding on young forest and reforestation areas
Roadbook
Take the cable car at the Mölltaler Glacier to the mountain station gondola panoramic restaurant Eissee.
From the mountain station gondola, you drive over the slope to the valley station of the Klühspiesbahn above the Wurtenspeicher. Head NW to the Niedere Scharte and on the other side descend to the Goldberg Kees, which you cross going upward. At the height of the Rojacher Hütte, keep west and go past the Goldbergspitze to the already visible summit.
The Zittelhaus on the summit of Sonnblick is usually staffed on spring weekends!
Descent in the area of the ascent route, then over the Kleinfleißtalkees to Heiligenblut and by taxi back to Innerfragant. (See Sonnblick from Heiligenblut)
