Popular insider powder tour to a not exactly high, but very rewarding pre-alpine ski summit. A fairly direct, natural ascent across meadows and through sparse forests and a moderately steep descent that will also delight more athletic skiers. On the treeless summit, a comprehensive view and the visual lure of many other ski tour destinations!

A combination with a tour to the neighbouring Eisenstein makes for a full day of touring!

Roadbook
Ascent:From the timber yard, cross the road and take a few steps to the left. To the right on a track, initially steeply uphill (steep slope on the right, be careful on the descent!), then in a small valley past rocks and to the first elongated meadow (game feeding area, ruin). Above the meadow in the sparse forest to a forest road. Cross this road and continue through the narrow ditch to the Torstall meadow (Schneeberg view). Past hay barns to a terrace, cross the forest road and along a row of trees (fence) to the forest. In the forest (transition from beech to spruce), cross a forest road and after a denser section of forest reach the idyllic summit meadow and the already visible cross. 1 ¾ hours.
Descent: Same as ascent. Be careful on the embankment directly above the main road: take the right-hand bend in a controlled manner, life-threatening drop-off!
