On the Alpeiner Ferner, it goes up to the last glacier plateau where you ascend in a wide arc southeastwards to the Upper Hölltal notch. A ski depot is set up here. Over the ridge, it takes about an hour heading northeast to the summit. The descent follows the ascent route. Variants are possible in this extensive terrain.
