Route 28 Grabnerstein 1848 m

From Buchauersattel on the Grabneralmweg to the hairpin at an altitude of 1200 m and here continue straight on the road to an open area. Continue straight over it and left between mighty trees to a saddle. A short steep section up to the left to a free ridge and over this to a flat meadow. After the meadow, briefly between trees and through a small saddle into the wide cirque north of Zilmkogel. Up to here you can reach much more comfortably via the alpine pasture path to Grabneralm and further on the marked summer path. Keep right over rugged terrain upwards and at the top turn left to the summit. 

The south side of Grabnerstein offers good ski terrain and, depending on snow conditions, various descent options
