The Franz Senn Hut (competently managed by hut warden Thomas Fankhauser) is the ideal base for high alpine ski tours and training courses in the Stubai Alps!

Continue along the road always in a southwest direction over the Stöcklenalm and to the Oberissalm. From the Oberiss Alm first flat and then ascending, following the winter ascent to the right beside the gorge (often better due to avalanche danger to first go slightly right directly below the material cable car until the junction with the winter path), always continuing on the right side of the valley until shortly below the hut, where you cross to the left side of the valley (bridge - power station) and reach the Franz Senn Hut in a few minutes.
