Rifugio BassanoRoadbook
For warming up, the SP26 at the foot of Monte Grappa is recommended, depending on your mood. The first part of the route leads through partially dense forest; in the hairpin bends, it's worth looking down into the plain, and the sea can be glimpsed on the horizon. The first half of the route has slopes up to 10%, followed by a flat section with a short descent, then it becomes steeper with ramps up to 14-15%. The paved road ends at Rifugio Bassano.
The road from Semonzo (SP140) uphill is steeper but shorter and has significantly less traffic. The descent via SP148 to Romano d'Ezzelino is wider, mostly in good condition, and only moderately steep – perfect for a fast descent.
