Three Lakes Route: Kleinlützel - Delémont
This stage is again quite short, but with 2 climbs it brings a bit more elevation gain than the previous day's stage. Shortly after the start, we reach another Jura ridge after the farm "Ring"; after crossing it, we soon reach the junction at "Oltme", where the Jura route via Laufen joins us again. We return to the Laufen or Birs valley to the stage town Delémont, the capital of the relatively young canton of Jura.
While the first section up to Soyhières is mainly characterized by nature impressions and agriculture, after Soyhières we will not follow the valley road but cross the gorge to Delémont at height, reaching below the striking ruin of Vorbourg the Chapelle du Vorbourg, a gem you should not just walk past. This chapel lies on such an exposed rock nose that it allows an impressive view into the valley but can hardly be viewed from any distance. Shortly after this chapel, we come to another viewpoint offering a look over the Delémont valley basin, and there we also cross an exclusive, scenic residential area before reaching the station through the old town of Delémont.
