    Während der vorausgehenden Etappe haben wir die Provinz Åkershus erreicht und heute verlassen wir sie auch schon wieder um in Oslo anzukommen, einer weiteren Provinz in Norwegen. Oslo ist seit 1814 die Hauptstadt von Norwegen, also seit der Unabhängigkeit von Dänemark. Die Gemeinde Oslo ist eine eigenständige Provinz, und beherbergt interessanterweise auch die Verwaltung der benachbarten Provinz Åkershus. In der Stadt Oslo wohnen rund 660'000 Einwohner, aber die ganze Agglomeration Oslo zählt 1.9 Millionen Einwohner, also einen grossen Teil der 5.1 Millionen Norweger und Norwegerinnen.
    Oslo ist eine sehr sehenswerte Stadt und deshalb geeignet für einen Ruhetag. Neben dem Dom von Oslo ist auch das Hafenviertel mit dem Rathaus und der neuen Oper höchst sehenswert.

    Dieser Weg von Trondheim nach Oslo heisst als Wanderweg «Gudbrandsdalsleden», in Pilgerkreisen aber auch «St. Olav-Weg». Er führt uns zuerst durch das Gebirgstal Gudbrandsdalen» vorerst bis Lillehammer. Lillehammer wurde berühmt als Ausrichter der Olympischen Winterspiele 1994.
    Von Lillehanmmer bis Oslo gibt es dann 2 Wege, nämlich einen 222.7 km langen Nord-Ost-Weg oder einen 224 km langen Süd-West-Weg. Diese Etappe gehört zum Nord-Ost-Weg.
