    Während dieser Etappe im Departement Isère wandern wir bis Le Grand-Lemps ziemlich genau ostwärts, In diesem Abschnitt kommen wir an einer ganzen Reihe von Schlössern vorbei. Dann dreht die Richtung auf Nord-Ost, und wir überqueren als erstes einen Übergang. Von dieser Höhe aus können wir einen Blick rückwärts auf die Plaine de Bièvre mit dem Flughafen von Grenoble geniessen. Nach diesem Übergang kommen wir jetzt in eine wenig besiedelte Gegend.
    Gegen Ende der Etappe, zwischen Chassigneux und Le Pin, treffen wir auf das Kartäuserkloster «Ancienne Abbaye Chartreuse de Sylve Bénite», das heute allerdings in privatem Besitz ist und nicht besichtigt werden kann.
    Beim kleinen Etappenort Le Pin können wir uns entscheiden, ob ein Bad im etwa 1km südöstlich gelegenen Lac de Paladru erwünscht ist, oder ob wir für heute genug gewandert sind und uns lieber im Ort erholen.

Jerusalem gehört zusammen mit Rom und Santiago de Compostela zu den 3 wichtigsten christlichen Pilgerdestinationen des Mittelalters. Dieser Weg beginnt beim Kap Finisterra am Westufer Europas und führt entweder durch Italien oder der Donau entlang durch den Balkan in die Türkei, und ab dort wieder auf einer gemeinsamen Route nach Jerusalem.
