Jakobsweg 5th stage

After the approximately 3 km long ascent past the Laurentius Chapel, the path lined with fruit trees and hedges leads you to Grünsfeldhausen. Through the Grünbach valley further to Grünsfeld and along beautiful wetlands, it goes steadily downhill past Gerlachsheim to Lauda.

Grünsfeldhausen: Achatius Chapel (double octagonal chapel, built in the 12th century by the Crusaders)
Grünsfeld: Half-timbered town hall from the year 1579, town parish church with Riemenschneider works, remains of a castle with fortifications

Gerlachsheim: former Premonstratensian monastery (built between 1196-1207) with Baroque church, Grünbach bridge with Baroque saint statues

Lauda: Historic old town, remains of the town wall, powder tower, Gothic Tauber bridge with Nepomuk statue, steam locomotive monument
