Heavenly Paths: Hergiswald - Flüeli/Ranft
The hike connects the pilgrimage site Hergiswald near Lucerne with the place of activity of Saint Nicholas of Flüe in Sachseln/Flüeli-Ranft in Obwalden. The path leads over the Rengg Pass, which was already used by the Romans. The stage requires two days of hiking. Along the way, a visit to the Rengg Chapel or a detour with the steepest cog railway in the world to Mount Pilatus is worthwhile. In Sarnen, you should not miss the Sarner Jesus Child in the women's monastery of St. Andreas.
