The Candeeiros Path is a historic route that, since the 1940s, crosses the Serra dos Candeeiros towards Fátima. Much of the route is part of the Aire and Candeeiros Mountain Range Natural Park, providing a unique experience for those seeking contact with nature.
The route starts in the south, in Rio Maior, and climbs the mountain from Alcobertas, passing through several points of natural, cultural, and scenic interest. The first stage covers about 18 km and connects Rio Maior to Casais Monizes. The second stage, about 27 km, links Casais Monizes to Alvados, where it crosses the Camino da Nazaré. The third and final stage leads walkers to the Santuário de Fátima, following the same route as the Camino da Nazaré. This hiking trail is ideal for pilgrims and lovers of nature tourism, offering stunning landscapes and an authentic immersion in the heart of the natural park.
