The route passes several managed huts, and a detour to the pilgrimage church Maria Trost is definitely worthwhile. Those who want to shorten the descent and also have some fun can use the summer toboggan run for the last part of the way.
The route is measured and licensed by the "German Nordic Walking Association".

At the end of the Alpspitzbahn car park, the hiking trails begin. Immediately at the first fork, turn left and come across the access road to Maria Trost, which you follow uphill through the forest. After approx. 2.5 km, the path to the pilgrimage church Maria Trost branches off to the left. The detour to the church with the 350-year-old lime tree is definitely worthwhile. Back on the access road, continue uphill until after 0.7 km the MTB-marked path to the Sportheim Böck branches off to the left and leads uphill there in some bends.
If you reach the access road heading down to the valley, be sure to first turn left to enjoy the mountain views and maybe take a break at the Sportheim Böck. Then follow the access road steadily downhill into the valley, past Enzianstube, the mid-station of the Alpspitzbahn, Kronenhütte and the start of the summer toboggan run. Shortly after its end, turn sharply right back to the car park.
