The seven-day hut-to-hut route through the Kaisergebirge remains uninterrupted in nature every day. The route shows the highest peaks of the Wilder Kaiser from all sides.
The circuit first goes up through the Kaisertal, south of the Zahmer Kaiser. The Pyramidenspitze in this mountain range is planned under good conditions. From Stripsenjoch on day 4, it descends into the Kaiserbachtal, but that same day we cross to the south side of the Wilder Kaiser. Here there is a constant beautiful view of the Kitzbühel Alps. We walk under the high towers of the Wilder Kaiser on well-passable paths. The route offers a nice mix of forest and alpine meadows. Regularly, we encounter the most beautiful farms. Except for day 4, the daily stages are fairly short. This leaves enough time for relaxation or for an extra for enthusiasts. Generally, well-passable paths are used. Passages secured with cables or ropes are not basically part of the route, only possibly in extras. Under less good conditions, some passages can be quite challenging. You should also realize that we are walking in a real mountain range, where we will have to practice balance and surefootedness.
Note: This route was listed in the past by the NKBV. Due to possible changing conditions, you are always responsible for checking the current route conditions yourself. Get information from the local tourist office or experts in the relevant region so you can go out safely and prepared.
