Widderstein summit route

From the hotel, follow the old salt road to Hotel Adler, cross the street and then pass the lower Widderstein hut on the well-marked path always upwards towards Widderstein hut. Shortly before reaching the hut, the path branches upwards to the entry point. Pass Gormley  to reach the entry point. From there, you should leave your poles somewhere. The ascent to the summit is particularly challenging in the second quarter and requires full concentration. Just before the summit, there are a few spots where you need to be careful. Once at the summit, you will be rewarded with a great panoramic view. You can see from the Ötztal Alps to Lake Constance and from the Swiss Alps to the Allgäu Alps and much more. The way back follows approximately the same route. After a stop at the Widderstein hut, retrace your steps to the hotel.
