Widderstein circuit

From the hotel, follow the old salt road to Hotel Adler. At the Adler, go on the right side of the ravine past the lower Widderstein hut, first on a well-developed path and then over a trail up to the Widderstein hut. Then continue to the Gemstel pass and down to the upper Gemstel alp. From there we have a nice rock and gravel trail down to the lower Gemstel alp. On a farm road, continue past Bernhardsgemstel out to Bödmen. In Bödmen, take the Walser bus (€4) to Bad. From Bad, a farm road leads gently uphill to the Bergunthütte where we have a snack. From the Bergunthütte to the Hochalp pass, a gravel and rock trail first goes through forest and then over pastures. From the Hochalp pass, the destination Jägeralpe can soon be seen. Over a steep dirt road, reach Hotel Adler and on the salt road our day's goal.
