The start of the route is a parking lot in the forest at Karrösten, from where a geo trail leads towards Karrösteralm, on path 639 it goes to a junction with path 23, which leads to the mountain guard hut. On the north side above the tree line, the first summit, Karröster Kreuz 2175m, is reached over a few easy secured sections. This is the west summit. At the ridge summit, it goes east to the main summit of the Tschirgant 2372m, from where there is a great view in all directions. Slightly north-facing to the east on a narrow path it goes to the saddle at 2216m, from where a further detour to the Haiminger Kreuz, the east summit of the massif 2275m, can be reached in 10 minutes. Back again to the saddle and on path 25 through the dwarf pine area towards Karrösteralm, from where it goes at the right edge of the forest with the path back to the parking lot in the forest at Karrösten.

Directions
Take A12 exit at Imst-Pitztal, briefly on B 189, turnoff to Karrösten follow signs with Karrösteralm, last 400m on gravel road and turn left to parking lot in the forest.
