Explorers have always been on the Radlberger Alm. While today people seek peace and freedom, in the past they sought valuable metals. While Radlberger Alm served as a mining area in the Middle Ages, newer ore discoveries from the 1980s were left undisturbed in the mountain. The lovely Radlberger Alm with its fantastic views all the way to the Julian Alps thus remained a refuge for nature lovers seeking escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Tips and suggestions
For more information about this route contact the municipal office Kleblach/Lind Tel. +43 4768 217 or kleblach-lind@ktn.gde.atRoadbook
From the B100, follow well-signposted, paved municipal road to the Radlberg. In the second hairpin bend, you will find a nicely designed information point for the Drautaler Sunseitenweg or Radlberg. A short stop is recommended. The end of the paved road is reached at about 1,150m above sea level. Shortly after, a barrier blocks the road. From here, the path leads up in many switchbacks to the alm at about 1,800m. After approximately 2 hours of walking, you will have reached this paradisiacally lonely alm. Up high you can now take the time to enjoy the great view and relax your soul. Those seeking higher goals and wanting to experience a summit can head for the Hohe Stand (2,086m), a nearby destination. It can be hiked in about 45 minutes (only sparse trail markings). At the highest point, the mountain hiker will not only see the view to the south but also the glacier-covered face of the Hohe Tauern in the north. The ascent route is recommended for the return journey.
