From the parking lot in Boden into the Angerertal. A long flat section and a slight incline until we cross the stream again shortly before the material cable car to the Hanauer Hütte. A suitable place for a bicycle depot. We switch from the road to a good trail and approach a rock barrier. Over a bridge in two variants which join again higher up in a right curve to the Hanauer Hütte (1922 m above sea level). Our next goal is the Gufelseejöchel (2373 m above sea level) where the path from the Kogelseespitze comes down on the right. From the pass there is a beautiful view of the Gufelsee. We do not go uphill in the saddle but continue left as there is a path leading to the climbing route which requires very different skills than the normal route. We descend slightly towards the Gufelsee and past the west walls on the left a path leads around the Parzinnspitze to the northern Parzinscharte (2504 m above sea level). From there sharp left over grassy ridge terrain to the start of a striking gully. From here a helmet is advisable. Cairns help with orientation over various ridges and small passes. A climb next to a chimney (II) also has to be mastered. We then pass left of the ridge edge which is considerably more difficult due to exposure but elegant to pass. Upon reaching the last small pass begins the highlight, the summit block with a tricky grade II spot where it is already advisable to remember the holds and grips during the ascent. We also have to descend this again after sufficient rest and recovery at the summit. Descent same as the ascent into the northern Parzinnscharte and return route to the Gufelseejöchl or Hanauer Hütte back to the starting point in Boden.
Author’s recommendation
Motivation and endurance or safe alpine mountaineering are prerequisites.
A bicycle up to the material cable car significantly shortens the duration of the tour.
Optionally, a pathless section from the Parzinnscharte towards Hanauer Hütte is possible for experts in alpine mountaineering. This increases the difficulty to T 6.
