Roadbook
From the station in Farchant, walk along Bahnhofstraße towards Hotel Alter Wirt. Cross the street at the traffic light, pass the bakery and the ice cream café and soon you will see the church. Passing the town hall and along the church wall on the right, you then reach the children's playground at Spielleite. Here you follow the path, which is also used for the mountain destinations, and you will come via the Spielleiten spring to Spielleitenboden.
Upon arrival, you reach a forest road which you follow briefly and then turn right to get back on the path. Follow this until you come to a large stone with a bench. Following the path, after a few meters you cross another forest road and follow the path over the "front, middle and rear Ladstatt." Then you reach another forest road, which you cross as well (slightly to the right the path goes on over a small staircase). After a few meters, another forest road is crossed which continues straight ahead. As signposted, a path branches off from following the road straight ahead, taking you over the "last spring before the summit" to the Gießenbachsattel. Here you cross a forest road, which you follow turning right. Afterwards, you reach the Gießenbachalm.
From here, continue to the saddle between Brünstlkopf and Notkarspitze, the "Hasenjöchl." At Hasenjöchl keep right and the path leads a short way through a spruce forest and later along the ridge to the summit of Notkarspitze,
from where you can also descend to Ettal. The descent to Farchant follows the ascent path.
From parking lot Lanewies P3 you reach the playground Spielleite via the forest edge path, from where you can start the tour as described.
