Roadbook
The hike begins at the valley station of the Hörnle Bahn in Bad Kohlgrub. From here, it initially goes leisurely into the Sonnen district and continues on the winter path (marking 18a), which leads over alpine meadows to the Hörnle hut.
The descent follows the same path downhill for a short time, via the ski slope. Shortly before the mountain rescue hut, take a right onto the summer path (marking 18), which leads you back to the starting point.
The route can be extended to a summit hike to the Vorder-, Mittlere-, and Hintere Hörnle. This increases the time required from the Hörnle hut and back by approximately 1 hour.
