Roadbook
You leave the parking lot directly at Ammerwaldalm via the forest road and follow the path into the forest. Quickly, you ascend and the first stretch of altitude gain does not take long to start. The ascent is very varied and offers plenty of shade in the cool mountain forest up to the tree line.
The first impressive sight awaits you at the crossroads when you follow the Roggentalbach towards the Roggentalgabel. From this point, the path winds steeply uphill towards the sky.
Arriving at the Roggentalgabel, which scores with the first view over the Krähe, Straussberg, and Säuling, you climb the left path up towards Hochblasse. Over a small climbing section on loose rock and a short ridge passage, you reach the greened summit of Hochblasse with its small but fine summit cross after about 15 minutes.
With an almost 360-degree panoramic view, this summit is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Ammergau Alps. The large flat meadow around the summit is ideal for an extensive rest.
For the descent, you must first return to the Roggentalgabel. You follow the path towards the Jägerhütte through the charmingly green Köllebachtal.
After a rest at the Jägerhütte, the final descent follows via the Schützensteig to the Hotel Ammerwald.
Along a short stretch next to the state road, you then walk the remaining distance over the forest road that turns left from the state road into the forest.
