Korada is an 811 m high peak above the right bank of the Soča River, from where we enjoy views as far as Triglav, Jalovec, Kanin, Krn, and Matajur, and on the other side to Sveta Gora and Sabotin. In good weather, we can also see the Dolomites, Carnic Alps, Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Golaki, and Snežnik.
During World War I, Korada was among the most strategically important peaks occupied by the Italian army. From this highest point on the section of the battlefield between Ježa and Sabotin, commands, often accompanied by the Italian king Vittorio Emanuele III, observed the battlefield on the left bank of the Soča.
On the way to Korada, above the hamlet of Debenje, you can visit the Church of St. Jacob from the first half of the 14th century; below the summit of Korada is the chapel of St. Genderca, which was destroyed during World War I and later rebuilt. Below the summit of Korada is a mountain refuge, and at the summit is a registration box.
A section of the route that runs along the ridge of Kanalski Kolovrat coincides with the 18th stage of the Julian Trail and the Peace Trail from the Alps to the Adriatic.

Visit the medieval town of Kanal: Kontrado Square, Riko Debenjak Gallery, Neptune's Fountain, Kanal Bridge, Pečno Park.
Along the route, you can visit the churches of St. Jacob and St. Genderca.
Refresh yourself at the catering providers in Kanal, at the refreshment bar Na skednju in Vrtače, or at the mountain refuge on Korada.
