Göppinger hut via Butzensee

From the station, follow the forest road past the Kriegeralpe and the upper Gipslöcher towards the Steinmähderbahn mountain station. At the first rise, the path branches off into a trail. Past the Zuger Hochlicht you reach the high plateau around the Butzensee, from there it goes up to the Butzenjoch and then gently downhill to the Braunarl entry. Further downhill to the ravine. From there, it goes steeply uphill again until you reach a rise with large boulders. The path on the rise is very pleasant and the landscape is high alpine. From the view of the hut, it goes downhill again through light rocky terrain to the hut. The descent from the Göppinger hut leads along a gravelly trail over alpine meadows past the upper alp to the Älpele with a place to eat and a bus stop. Toll fee €3,-
