    Roadbook

We start our hike at Schwand-Alpe. We go uphill on the forest road and then take the hiking trail to the right towards Denneberg. On the gravel road, we pass the Upper Mittelberg-Alpe to the summit station of the Prodelli lift. From there, the narrow hiking trail winds uphill through the forest to the ridge of the Denneberg. There we are rewarded with a magnificent view over the Nagelfluh Nature Park. Continuing eastward, we reach the summit cross of the Denneberg at 1,427 m. From there, we go briefly downhill on a gravel path until we follow the sign downhill towards Thalkirchdorf at the fork in the road. CAUTION: the descent can be a bit slippery when wet. The path leads downhill past the Herreberg-Alpe, where we leave the forest and walk over meadows towards the forest road. At the fork (east), we take a paved gravel road towards Untere Klamm-Alpe and then continue left following the signs to Thalkirchdorf. After the second fence gate, we cross the meadow westwards to the entry of the Dobel, which we cross. Afterwards, we return to the paved forest road that leads us downhill back to Schwand-Alpe.
