Crossing from the Olperer Hut to the Furtschaglhaus

First, you descend steeply from the Olperer Hut on path No. 502, then head nearly flat southward over meadows and across the Riepenbach, and finally descend to the Schlegeisspeicher reservoir via many switchbacks on a good path. At the shore road, turn right, then immediately after the large parking lot cross the bridge and turn left to the Zamsgatterl snack station. From there, continue on the road to the end of the reservoir and cross the stream to the fork in the road. Keep right and hike about 1 km with a gentle ascent towards the Schlegeiskees until the hut access path (No. 502) turns off to the left (east). Now the path climbs steeply in many switchbacks between the Wasserleklamm and Furtschaglbach and finally reaches the Furtschaglhaus over gently ascending meadows.
