Ascent to Brauneck from Lenggries via Leitenberg and Wasserboden

The route begins at the parking lot to the right of the bus stop shelter. Follow AV route 469, passing the high ropes course. After half an hour, routes 451 and 469 split. We stay on route 469, which branches off to the NW here. After another half hour, you reach a forest road coming up from Arzbach. Always follow route number 469 and the sign for Brauneck. This way you reach Wasserboden below the Schwalbenwand, where there is a strong spring. Then continue up a path to the saddle between Schwalbenwand and Kirchel. Next, you go through the small valley basin formed by the rocks of Stangeneck. Loghamalm lies on the left. Soon we reach the ridge west of Schrödelstein and encounter AV route 451. Following this eastwards, in half an hour you arrive at the Brauneck summit house.
