Pfyffer

This varied biking route starts at Escholzmatt railway station and leads along the main road for a short distance, soon turning onto the natural road towards Ballenbach. Passing farms between woods and lush meadows, the first ascent to the farm settlement "Ballebachmatte" already begins. At Rossgrat we continue uphill across alpine pastures until we reach the natural road again and are already descending to Wiggen station, where we briefly rejoin the main road as far as Wissenbach. On the asphalted road we continue slightly uphill towards Schärligbad, where we then tackle the steep climb up to our highlight, the Pfyffer hill. On a slight downhill slope, we already descend again over the Schärliberg to Wiggen, soon reaching the starting point, Escholzmatt railway station.
