Caprazoppa

The route, characterized by technical and rocky sections, starts from Finalborgo and follows the racetrack of a famous Special Stage of the 2013 Enduro World Series. Leave the village from its west gate, reach the National road 490 and, at the roundabout, take the exit to the left. A little further on, turn right and pick up the uphill dirt road, known as 'Vecchia Strada Napoleonica' that takes you to the summit of the Caprazoppa hill. Continue to the plateau keeping right. The track enters the woods of Mediterranean scrub and offers mule-track sections alternated with winding single-tracks. Not far from a sinkhole, next to a wide open space, you can spot Verezzi. A few dozen meters before the sinkhole, a trail splits off to the left, signposted Sentiero Natura; follow it, first through the woods and then along a scenic trail, exposed, over the sea. Continue until you reach a dirt road that goes down to the right and takes you to an asphalt road that goes to Borgio. Back on the dirt road, pick up the uphill road to the right and go back to Verezzi. Ride through a number of hamlets on your way to Braciale until you reach Torre di Bastia where the top of the plateau marks the start of the difficult downhill track Caprazoppa that takes you back to Finalborgo.
