Bike and Hike Saututt Spitz (2,598m) and Saxalbsee
The small but especially noticeable Saututt Spitz from the Klosteralm has a lonely existence. No path leads to the highest point, no cross adorns the summit. And this, although the well-frequented circular route from the Klosteralm to the Saxalbsee passes at the foot of its wall. Most hikers only glance at the summit and otherwise pass it by carelessly. Only ambitious peak collectors accept the light, partly exposed scrambling over grass and rock slopes (difficulty T3) to enjoy the wonderful panoramic view from the summit. Due to this slightly arduous ascent, the summit is really only recommended for those climbers who can easily handle such conditions.
However, this should not detract from doing this round. The deep blue shimmering Saxalbsee alone is a worthwhile hiking destination. With ascent via the hiking trail marked no. 23 and descent via path no. 23A to Klosteralm, where you can ride a bike, it forms a nice, not too strenuous round, which can be done by any moderately experienced hiker.
