The first half of the route, from Collioure to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, invites you to discover the Spanish side of the Pyrenees. From the Sierra de Cadi to the Hecho Valley, through Aragon, Navarre, and finally the Basque Country, you’ll ride along magnificent roads lined with legendary mountain passes, ancient monasteries, and picturesque villages. Once you arrive in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, you’ll tackle the French section of the route.
Historic mountain passes, high peaks, forests, and vineyards line this stage before it leads you to the beaches of the Mediterranean coast.
Take the time along the way to discover the region’s remarkable culinary and wine heritage. Paella, “Arros Nègre,” suckling lamb from Aragon, ham from Teruel, piperade, Ossau cheese, spit-roasted cake… 100% authentic cuisine guaranteed!

Author’s recommendation
The itinerary can be perfectly adapted between May and November by replacing skiing and snowshoeing with hiking trails and adjusting some of the offered supplementary activities. With this itinerary, we aim to highlight the Pyrenees as a four-season destination that reveals two completely different faces depending on the time of year.
