A stage on the Allgäuer Logenplatz route – with the mountains in view: Please take a seat! A Logenplatz has something sublime; at the same time, you witness a festive and special event. On this well over 120-kilometre route, the main role is played by the mountain panorama, which is usually wonderfully visible from the gently rolling pre-alpine landscape. Start and end point is the idyllic place Seeg, the honey village of the Allgäu. Like bees, hikers on the route visit only the tastiest and most beautiful blossoms: fragrant meadows, wetlands and moors with rare plants and insects, waterfalls, scenic heights, a wild river, and a high mountain with views of the Schlosspark, the Alps, and Neuschwanstein Castle.

    Safety information

    Schlosspark tips for your route:

Provision: Bring enough water to drink. A snack also tastes especially good on the way.

Weather check: Best to check various services and ask locals familiar with the mountains, because in the mountains it can quickly rain or thunderstorms may occur.

Companionship: You should not undertake a longer route alone, even if it appears easy and harmless. Always leave your tour destination at your accommodation.

Ascent: Climb slowly but steadily to protect your body. Those inexperienced running up the mountains risk injuries or mountain rescue operations. Avoid hiking unknown mountain paths at night.

Emergency: Be a helper in accidents! Get help at the nearest alpine hut or notify mountain rescue.

Emergency signal: Give six signals with waving, calling, or flashing per minute, followed by a one-minute pause.

The hike from Oy-Mittelberg to Görisried starts at the start and welcome square of the Allgäu hiking trilogy near the Kurhaus with the tourist information. Immediately at the T-junction, the route branches off to the right into Wertacher Straße. Directly after a Raiffeisen market, the main street first leads to the right, just a few steps later the Poststraße to the nearby Maria-Rainer-Straße. On this street, again to the right, soon after keeping left again into Schwändlesteig street. After about 100 m, turn left into Im Schwändle street, then at a nearby playground turn left again, cross the railway tracks and hike left along a field path. At federal road 310, the route turns left to cross it after about 200 m. Follow the adjacent farm track to the left and enter a forest. After about 300 m, the path takes a left curve, follow it up to highway 7, then immediately turn left from a farm track onto a field path. First follow the forest edge, then the path bends left and leads through the forest to a T-junction. Here turn right and follow the path through an open landscape to a farm track. After about 150 m, a field path branches off to the right from here. The path leads into a forest, crosses the Oberschwarzenberger Bach, and after the wooded section reaches a crossroads. The hike continues to the left. The path is continuously followed along a forest edge. After about 1.5 km, pass a farm and walk along the access road straight to a field path branching off to the left. The path turns right at a forest edge after about 500 m. Initially, it continues along the right side of the Hornbach along the forest, you reach a farm and follow the access road to a T-junction. Here turn right and then immediately left again to enter Wildberger Straße on the outskirts of Görisried. It is about one kilometre to the centre of Görisried when you go left. The Logenplatz route continues to the right.

    Equipment

Equipment: With good - broken-in - hiking boots, you are safe and blister-free. For clothing, layering is key: a short and a long shirt (cotton dries poorly, better wool or special sportswear), zip-off trousers, sweater, jacket, and rain cape. Also pack spare clothes, headgear, sunglasses, sunscreen, first aid kit, and flashlight in your backpack.
