Allgäu Logenplatz route - Stage 4: Görisried-Leuterschach
Another relaxed stage on the Logenplatz route over the suspension bridge across the Wertach and along the stream to Leuterschach.
A stage on the Allgäu Logenplatz route - the mountains in view: Please, have a seat! A premium seat has something sublime, and at the same time one becomes witness to a festive and special event. On this well over 120-kilometer-long route, the starring role is the mountain panorama, which is usually wonderfully visible from the gently rolling pre-alpine landscape. The start and end point is the idyllic town of Seeg, the honey village of the Allgäu. Like bees, hikers on this route fly only to the tastiest and most beautiful blossoms: fragrant meadows, wetlands and bogs with rare plants and insects, waterfalls, scenic heights, a wild river, and a high mountain with views of the castle park, the Alps, and Neuschwanstein Castle.

Schlosspark tips for your route:
Provisions: Bring enough water to drink. A snack tastes especially good on the way.
Weather check: Best to check various services and ask local mountain experts, as it can quickly rain or thunderstorm in the mountains.
Companionship: You should not undertake a longer route alone, even if it seems easy and harmless. Always leave your route destination at your accommodation.

Roadbook
The hike begins at the church square. After passing the church, follow the main street downhill to the forest stream. Slightly ascending, you walk along the street. It later changes its name to Staig. Once the last trees are left behind, Staig street leads straight away from the district road. Then follow Wildberger street to a chapel, where you turn left. Further on, the path goes right and follows a meadow path to the edge of a forest. As soon as you enter the forest area, turn left onto a beautiful trail that descends after just a few meters to the Wertach river. The river is crossed by a suspension bridge. The path continues left to Kaltenbrunn, where at the buildings you turn left at the T-junction to a district road. Follow this for about 900 m on a cycle path. A few meters before an inn, turn left again, then at the next intersection turn left once more, but immediately turn right again. The path leads to the edge of the forest but then goes straight across a meadow. A few steps before a group of trees, keep slightly right towards a path. In nearby Barnstein, walk left on the street, cross a district road, and reach the village of Bergers via a meadow path. Through the village, go into an adjacent forest and past a water basin to the Wertach river, which is followed for about 2.1 km. Upon reaching the next river bend, climb a path and several steps through a narrow strip of forest and turn left at the intersection with a guardian angel chapel immediately before the village of Wald. Passing some houses in the village, you cross a path, then at the following T-junction turn left, cross the Rudratsbachl, and after about 130 m turn onto a path branching off to the right. Along meadows, head towards the nearby forest edge. In the forest, come to an intersection, walk straight ahead for about 450 m and then follow the meadows again. At the next T-junction, turn left and descend in switchbacks through a forest strip to the Wertach. For the next 1.3 km, you walk again very close to the river. Then the route moves away from the river briefly and reaches a viewpoint with a great view of the Wertach valley. After about 400 m, leave the path to the left to soon reach the riverbank again. After about 2.1 km, immediately before a distinctive river bend, turn right and meet Schwendener street at the edge of Leuterschach. After passing the Allgäu brewery, walk right into Leuterschach street. On the left side, turn into the third side street (Benefiziumstraße) and go to the nearby church.

Equipment
Equipment: With good, well-worn hiking shoes you are sure and blister-free on the move. For clothing, use a layering system: a short and a long shirt (cotton dries poorly, so better wool or special sportswear), zipper pants, sweater, jacket, and rain cape. Also pack change of clothes, headwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, first aid kit, and flashlight in your backpack.
