We start at the Hainbach parking lot (paid). Shortly after the parking lot (heading south), trail 211 branches off towards Klausenhütte. Partly on the forest road, partly cutting across it, the path continuously ascends up to the former Klausenhütte. At a hairpin turn, you must not miss the left turn of trail 211 from the forest road.
At Klausenhütte, trail 211 turns south and follows the ridge over Brandelberg towards Spitzstein. Shortly before Spitzstein, you need to decide whether to go over the summit (short, steep ascent with safety gear) or to bypass the summit to the east. From the summit, it is about a half hour to the Spitzsteinhaus, where we stay overnight.
On the second day, the descent to Sachrang follows first – either via trail no. 213 over Mesneralm, or via trail no. 6 over Mitterleiten. At the parking lot on the northern edge of Sachrang, follow the forest road to Judensee and then take trail no. 3 via Schreckalm and Oberkaseralm to the saddle north of Geigelstein. Alternatively, you can follow the forest road to Priener Hütte and from there to Oberkaseralm.
From the saddle, it is only a few minutes to the summit of Geigelstein. Then back to the saddle and continue north towards Roßalm (trail no. 8) and then to Weitlahnerkopf.
From there, the descent begins – initially on a steep and somewhat exposed path, before reaching a larger trail near Hintere Dalsenalm. Follow this trail (no. 4) back to the Hainbach parking lot.
