A ring of particular naturalistic interest that circles the Serra Morenica of Ivrea. Approximately 50km long with around 900m of elevation gain among vineyards, vast panoramas, and ancient villages.
The territory of this ring is one of the most fascinating in Canavese, characterized by a mixture of hills, lakes, historic villages, and natural areas. The Serra Morenica of Ivrea is a glacial moraine relief and represents the border of Canavese with Biellese.
The area is predominantly hilly, with slopes alternating with valleys dotted with vineyards, woods, and cultivated fields. The moraine-origin lakes, such as Lake Viverone, Lake Pistono, and Lake Sirio, create small natural oases and green areas ideal for walks and picnics.
From the higher hills, there is a panoramic view of the Alps and the surrounding plain. The route is based on the millennial Via Francigena, as evidenced by the numerous Romanesque churches present in the area.
