Historical social wine cellar that produces wines of territorial excellence from grapes contributed by local farmers.
Inside the Cantina della Serra, it will be possible to purchase wines with territorial appellations such as Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG, Canavese Doc Nebbiolo, Canavese Doc Barbera and Canavese Doc Rosso and Rosato, visit the areas and taste the wines accompanied by local products.
The winery was founded in 1953 by the vision of 99 members; located in the municipality of Piverone, halfway up the morainic Serra hill, it harvests the grapes of 200 farmers from various municipalities in the Canavese area. In the winery, the historic building, where part of the premises house medium and small wooden barrels for the ageing of the most prestigious wines, has been flanked for years now by modern winemaking technologies and the bottling line.
It is a company that carries on the Canavese wine-growing tradition and at the same time promotes productions of excellence. The flagship of its production is undoubtedly Erbaluce, a little gem of this area of Piedmont.
