The Schlosspark bike circuit in the Allgäu is a quality cycling route with approximately 221 km in length.

The fourth section leads from Eggenthal to Nesselwang. Along the way, you are traveling through the idyllic western castle park.

The Schlosspark bike circuit leads us through a romantic woodland to a height before Blöcktach. From here we enjoy a beautiful view over the valley of the Mühlbach and admire the location of the hamlet on the edge of the cut. We continue on a little-used road to Friesenried with its prominent Ried chapel. We move southwards in a small valley, past a lovingly designed rest area, to Salenwang.

Again, we cycle through a quiet forest area where a peaceful rest spot with refreshment possibilities invites a moment of relaxation before we reach Wenglingen. In the hamlet, there is the only sacred building in the Diocese of Augsburg where St. Rosina is venerated for enduring martyrdom. The palm and sword on the Wenglingen image indicate a bloody death around the year 1000.

On the following section, we repeatedly get great views of the Alps. After a short descent, we cross the already frequently mentioned Ludwig South-North Railway in Aitrang. A hiking or bathing trip to the moor area around the dreamy Elbsee is recommended here.

We leave Aitrang in a southwesterly direction and head over scarcely used side roads to Reinhardsried. After leaving the hamlet, a striking Alpine panorama unfolds again, with the peaks seeming closer kilometer by kilometer.

We cross the B12 and reach Unterthingau with the mighty red castle dominating the townscape. The building dates back to the 16th century and today houses, among other things, the municipal administration.

Along a cycle path next to the connecting road, we are led to Oberthingau, where we again meet the "Experience Wertach" cycle path at the town exit. We follow the road south and after about 1.5 kilometers turn right.
Past the Schornmoos nature reserve, we reach Alpe Beilstein on the eastern edge of the Kempter Forest. The large moor and hill landscape developed during the last ice age and holds many silent witnesses of glaciation, such as the large erratic boulder immediately west of Alpe Beilstein. Today, the Kempter Forest, in addition to its timber economic value, is a biologically valuable raised moor region and invites you to explore the mystical area with its alpine pastures by bike or on foot. Several waters originate in the forest area that feed the Iller and Wertach rivers, such as the Kirnach winding before Alpe Beilstein.

In Göisried, you can cool off and relax in the natural open-air pool before taking on the climb to Wildberg. While the Alpine panoramas were already impressive before, we now enter a region where the views outdo each other time and again. In Stadels, a detour to the suspension bridge over the Wertach is worthwhile, which has deeply cut into a difficult-to-access gorge in this section.

Along the edge of the Kempter Forest, high above the Wertach gorge, we reach the air spa and pilgrimage site Maria Rain on mostly lonely, gravel paths. The pilgrimage church of the Holy Cross probably dates from the 15th century and is the destination of many pilgrims. To the west of Maria Rain, there is a breathtaking vantage point before the Alps at Schnakenhöhe. Furthermore, a detour to the Wertach gorge is recommended. About 820 tons of coal were mined in the gorge between 1919 and 1923. A reconstruction of the tunnel entrance recalls this special past.

On little-used roads, we cycle to Gschwend and cross the historic Dohle bridge, which has spanned the Wertach for several centuries. Immediately after the Dohle bridge, there is the possibility on the right to reach the Grüntensee recreational area. From Gschwend, we follow the cycle path along the federal road and roll to Nesselwang.

Experiences and sights along this section include St. Crescentia, a glacial series/geology (Wertach, erratic boulder, moraines, freshwater molasse), various panoramic viewpoints and moors (Elbsee, Schwarzenberger Weiher), the Kempter Forest, and the Roman road Augsburg – Kempten.
